“Goodwill partnered with Teemo and the Ad Council to create a location-based advertising solution to target shoppers and raise awareness around how revenues from sales of donated goods create employment placement and job training, and community services such as financial education, credentials and skills training. The results exceeded expectations, provided a new way to inspire shopping, and encouraged people to be job creators and hometown heroes in their local communities.”
-Lauren Lawson-Zilai, Senior Director, PR, Goodwill Industries International
Goodwill is a network of 161 autonomous, community organizations that sell material donations and use the revenue to create important job placement opportunities and job training to help people find employment, earn paychecks and build their skills. Each local Goodwill organization helps people receive customized training and services in order for them to secure and maintain employment, pursue credentials or degrees, and strengthen finances in order to create better futures for themselves and their families. Goodwill organizations provide services to people transitioning back into society, youth, older workers, people with disabilities and disadvantages, and anyone facing challenges to finding employment.
Drive incremental visits and revenue to Goodwill retail locations to fund the non-profit’s career training initiatives and community based services.
Goodwill partnered with Teemo, the location-based advertising solution, to drive pro-bono traffic in their thrift store locations. Teemo’s precise targeting enabled Goodwill to deliver relevant advertising to thousands of in-market shoppers.
